Biddulph u3a is a voluntary organisation for people who are no longer in, or seeking, full time work. There are no age limits, as long as this is true.
We have over forty groups offering Artistic, Creative, Sporting and Social activities, and are always ready to expand the range of things we do.
We are all volunteers, nobody is paid to run our u3a, or to lead our groups, and Biddulph u3a is a registered charity.
We are also affiliated to the national u3a, and have access to all their many extra activities and facilities.
We are proud to say that we are one of the very few u3as to have our own headquarters building, Lund House, but we put on activities in other venues too, including the Town Hall and the Leisure Centre.
At the recent AGM it was announced that as our u3a was in a good financial state, our annual membership fee for 2025-6 would be set at £10.00, reduced to £7.00 for people who can show that they are already members of other u3as. This is one of the lowest membership fees in the country.

At the very least, we could refer you to one of our neighbouring U3As if they offer what you are looking for.
Charity
Biddulph u3a is a registered charity, and we are part of the u3a National organisation, Amongst other things, this gives us the right to collect "Gift Aid" tax relief on behalf of those members who chose to make the declaration on their membership form. The University of the Third Age, is also a registered charity. Nationally, The University of the Third Age was founded in 1982 and has grown steadily since then. There are 1050 local u3a's across the United Kingdom with over 450,000 members.
